Mariana Carvalho and Zach Hart are a Berlin based duo working in between experimental music, noise, radio and sound art. They will present a new set together, combining binaural mics, transducers, glass, modular synthesizer and a tape deck.

Richard Tarantino is a Providence based sound mangler. He creates improvisatory,  bpm free, itchy arrangements with analog, digital, and sample based electronic instruments.

RHEA BURDICK

(Boston, MA)

Rhea Burdick is an experimental folk musician and instrument maker whose work

explores the material culture of music and exploring the outer bounds of tradition. She performs compositions on violin, viola, and her own experimental banjo that use traditional folk songs as a basis for free improvisation. As a trained violin maker she has turned her attention to expanding and innovating on banjo designs to create unique and striking new instruments with a distinct inimitable character. She has self-produced six albums of experimental folk music and will be releasing another with the duo Substrata in the near future.

JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE COLON

Journey to the Center of the Colon is Edward Brandon’s sound project. It combines intuitive melodies & epic singing with thunderous vocal percussion/beatboxing, creating mesmerizing lockgrooves which are at once chaotic noise sound sculptures & ordered, skillfully constructed songs.
